De Graafschap is targeting a different type of player than Tim Braem, according to general director Marco Bogers. The club has not made a bid for the 19-year-old VVV-Venlo player. Bogers says that De Graafschap's first choice is a number ten and that the club does not have enough money to compete with Eredivisie clubs. Former footballer Maurice Graef shares this opinion and says that Braem should go to a club that has a plan for him. Other clubs that have been linked to Braem are Heracles Almelo, AZ and Excelsior. Braem was absent from VVV's match selection last Sunday due to transfer developments surrounding him. The midfielder was present in the stadium during the match, which VVV won 3-1. The Dutch transfer market closes on Tuesday, September 2 at 23:59. VVV teammate Driess Saddiki wishes Braem a nice transfer and also has some advice: he should choose the club where he has the best chance of playing. AZ made a bid for Braem last winter, but he stayed with VVV. Last summer, the midfielder became European champion with the Netherlands under-19 team.
