De Graafschap has strengthened its squad for the new season with the signings of Donny Warmerdam and Mark Pabai. Warmerdam, a familiar face at the club, has signed a one-year contract with an option for an additional year. The 24-year-old midfielder has already played over eighty matches for De Graafschap between 2023 and 2025. He joined the club on a free transfer from Ajax, where he never made his debut in the first team. In an interview with the club channel, Warmerdam stated, "I am happy to be back in the Achterhoek. After a good conversation with Berry Powel and Thomas Duivenvoorden, I was quickly convinced. They have a clear plan for me and the team. I want to be a part of that. Let's give it our all together!". Mark Pabai, the Liberian international, has signed a two-year contract with an option for another year. The 25-year-old defender joins on a free transfer from FC Koper and has previously played in the youth academy of FC Utrecht and in the first team at PEC Zwolle. These signings are an important step for De Graafschap in their pursuit of success in the Eerste Divisie.
